Synopsis
Thomas a quatorze ans et, peut-être parce qu'il ne se passe pas grand chose dans son village perdu du Sud-Ouest, il aime bien raconter des histoires. Ce jour là pourtant, il va vraiment lui arriver une histoire, une histoire qui va faire basculer sa vie et celle de tous ceux qui l'entourent. La vie des ses grands-parents. La vie de son père, Maurice. La vie de Martin, un inconnu, un fugitif, rencontré ce jour là et qui d'abord menaçant finira par lui sauver la vie et ce au prix du meurtre de son compagnon d'évasion, son frère, Luc. La vie d'Alice, la compagne des deux frères, liée à eux par un amour d'enfance, lien qu'elle n'acceptera de rompre que dans la mort. La vie de sa mère enfin, surtout, Lili. Lili qui tient à Thomas plus qu'à tout, Lili qui n'a jamais rien fait de ce qu'elle aurait dû faire, Lili qui vit avec cette insatisfaction qui couve en elle comme l'orage qui va éclater ce jour là sur le village.
